Should You Buy a Gaming Chair or an Office Chair

When choosing between a gaming chair or an office chair, the biggest deciding factor is which one you are likely to use the most. It also depends on the factors that are most important to you, such as style vs. ergonomics, and durability vs. adjustability.

Personally, I was okay with trying to use a gaming chair as an office chair because I didn't think it would make much of a difference in my home office setup. I quickly discovered that gaming chairs are not designed to be easily moved around the desk area, nor are they designed to be used for a full eight-hour workday. If you work long hours at a computer, an office chair may be a better choice because it is designed to be comfortable throughout the day.

A gaming chair is fine for sitting for a few hours, but you most likely won't find it comfortable to sit in all day. One of the key points to remember about both chairs is that comfort is key for gaming. Everyone is built differently, so it's best to read as many reviews as possible and even try out a chair in your local area if you can.
